Field Apprenticeship Program Specialist
Wanzek Construction, Inc., a MasTec Company, is seeking a remote Field Apprenticeship Program Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for developing, implementing, and supporting registered apprenticeship programs across the United States. You will provide daily support for program activities, including record keeping, logistics, and data analysis, working closely with the Senior Manager of Apprenticeships to ensure effective training cohorts, IRA compliance, increased retention, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Utilize data to enhance training needs and collaborate with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Manage daily apprenticeship operations, including program administration, data tracking, record keeping, and reporting.
- Track apprentice progress, On-the-Job Training (OJT) in ApprentiScope, and manage incentive payments.
- Attend and assist with in-person training courses and coordinate apprenticeship trainings (scheduling, supplies, activities).
- Ensure compliance with DoL, IRA, and NCCER standards in collaboration with program management.
- Conduct outreach and recruitment strategies with recruiters to build a network of future apprentices.
- Serve as an NCCER secondary representative and administrator.
- Manage the movement of apprentices between job sites for proper staffing and coordinate onboarding requirements with Recruitment.
- Collaborate with the Learning Management System (LMS) team to track Related Training Instruction (RTI) completions.
- Travel up to 25% of the time throughout the United States.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three to five years of relevant experience.
- Experience in training and development.
- Experience with apprenticeships preferred.
- NCCER experience/certifications preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead performance consulting discussions and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills with proficiency in various multimedia training platforms.
- Ability to effectively evaluate and research training options.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI, and data analysis tools.
- Adaptable, creative problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
Working Environment
This is a remote position based anywhere in the U.S. Travel to job sites will involve some exposure to hazards requiring safety precautions, and potentially moderate exposure to elements like extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.
