About Full-Stack Software Engineer New Grad Canada

Wanderlog is on a mission to make travel easier by building innovative travel planning tools and booking platforms. Our core product is a top-ranked travel planning app available on iOS and Android. We serve millions of travelers a month and are a small, self-sustaining team with a strong engineering and product focus.

What You’ll Do

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer New Grad Canada, you will own portions of our product. Responsibilities include:

  • Building new features for our website and mobile app using modern JavaScript frameworks like React, React Native, and Node.js/Express.
  • Designing features based on traveler needs to drive growth.
  • Developing data pipelines to crawl, process, and synthesize data.
  • Writing tests, debugging issues, and scaling infrastructure.
  • Reviewing code and contributing to engineering best practices.

What You Might Work On

Projects include designing user-friendly hotel booking interfaces, building AI-powered content summarization tools, optimizing our React Native mobile app, developing a Chrome extension for travel comparisons, and enhancing collaboration features.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proficiency in JavaScript with experience in React and/or React Native.
  • A strong product sense and ability to build end-to-end solutions.
  • Versatility to quickly evaluate and adopt new libraries and technologies.
