Overview

As a Customer Engineer at Customer Engineer, you will drive customer success by translating business needs into innovative technical solutions with a focus on Generative AI on Google Cloud. You will partner with sales teams, design compelling solutions, and guide customers through implementation and adoption of our products and services.

Core Responsibilities

Customer Engagement: Partner with sales to identify business opportunities, understand technical objections and drive adoption of Generative AI solutions.

  • Develop strategies to overcome technical blockers.
  • Build strong relationships with technical and executive customer stakeholders.

Solution Design & Architecture: Analyze customer requirements and design comprehensive solutions integrating Generative AI components.

  • Create detailed solution architectures and documentation.
  • Recommend integration strategies and design secure, resilient cloud architectures.

Technical Leadership: Provide deep technical expertise including product briefings, demos, proofs-of-concept and modernization recommendations with Google Cloud's AI offerings.

Collaboration & Pre-sales Support: Work with product management and engineering teams, participate in RFPs, product demos, and develop Statements of Work (SOWs).

Technical & Supporting Skills

  • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform, especially Vertex AI.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, containers, serverless architectures, and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, or Bash) and troubleshooting abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred with 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills are essential.
