About the Tire & Battery Technician Role at Walmart
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician at Walmart, you will be a crucial part of delivering safe and efficient service to members, providing them with quality products for less. This role involves active collaboration with other associates to consistently meet and exceed member expectations within the club's TBC department.
What You'll Do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members on sales and service requests, mentor new technicians, and develop interpersonal skills for efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Apply knowledge of safety protocols, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), product specifications, and seasonality. Utilize Point of Sale systems and effective selling techniques.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, enhance service, and improve associate engagement. Use handheld technology for business decisions, safety alerts, product information, and training.
- Be an Owner: Manage equipment needs, track returns and special orders, operate cash registers, and process transactions. Maintain accurate inventory, audit, safety, and compliance standards. Address complaints, hazards, and product issues, complete documentation, and assist members with purchasing decisions.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Champion the member's experience, model high-quality service, and inspire a respectful, supportive team environment. Understand challenges and assist in training.

Minimum Qualifications
- Valid State-issued Driver's License.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
