About the Position
Walmart is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models. You will work on a large-scale recommender system serving millions of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models and next best action framework.
- Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Utilize Spark MLlib, Hive/SQL, Python, and PyTorch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Git, AirFlow, and Crontab.
- Leverage cloud platforms like GCP and AWS for model deployment.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant experience in analytics. Graduate coursework, research, or professional experience is acceptable.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in Apache Spark, MLlib, and machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with Python, Java, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Familiarity with statistical techniques, A/B testing, and data visualization tools.
