Job Summary

As a Walmart Distinguished Software Engineer, you will spearhead the development of the next generation of payroll systems for over 2 million associates. In this role, you will set the technical direction for a team integrating with over 50 systems, ensuring seamless, accurate, and timely payments while eliminating defects and manual processes.

This role involves collaborating with senior leadership across multiple organizations, setting operational and business excellence goals, and nurturing a culture of engineering excellence.

What You Will Do

• Set technical direction for multiple teams and complex systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and business leadership to align priorities.
• Establish and own business and operational excellence goals.
• Invest in engineering leadership development and culture building.
• Influence global best practices as a spokesperson in the organization.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in software engineering, or 8 years of relevant experience. A Master's degree and expertise in digital accessibility including WCAG 2.2 AA standards is preferred.
