About the team:
The Advertising Business Systems (ABS) team, part of the Advertising Technology group, develops scalable platforms supporting Advertisers, Agencies, Partners, and internal stakeholders. The team focuses on Lead Generation, CRM, Onboarding, Business Management, Media Planning, Order Management, Billing, Insights, Generative AI, and Third Party Tools. ABS delivers intelligent solutions that enhance advertiser engagement and operational efficiency. By aligning technology with business goals, the team drives advertising revenue growth and expands platform capabilities beyond Walmart Connect, fostering innovation and trusted partnerships across Walmart’s advertising ecosystem.
What you'll do:
- Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
- Lead full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, observability, and maintenance.
- Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
- Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility and ensure alignment with architectural best practices.
- Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components to support automation and intelligent features.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements and track success metrics.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
- Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping to deliver maintainable and modular solutions.
- Experience driving full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability.
- Ability to integrate AI/ML components and develop intelligent automation features using languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C++.
- Demonstrated technical leadership with mentoring skills and sound technical judgment for architectural decisions.
- Data-driven decision-making skills to define metrics and optimize engineering processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
- Experience creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices and joining Walmart in creating accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Salary Range:
The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Stock
