Overview

The Senior Analyst, Business Analysis and Insights at Walmart Canada manages and analyzes data to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations. This role involves interpreting complex data sets and collaborating with various teams to drive business growth through data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

This role includes:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining BI dashboards using Dataiku, Looker, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Applying AI and machine learning techniques to analyze replenishment data and forecast inventory needs.
  • Collaborating with replenishment, supply chain, and merchandising teams to translate business needs into analytics solutions.
  • Developing predictive models to optimize stock levels, reduce out-of-stock instances, and improve order accuracy.
  • Presenting insights and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security in all analytics initiatives.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends in BI, analytics, and AI relevant to supply chain and replenishment.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field along with 5+ years of experience. Strong expertise in Dataiku, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python (or R), and exposure to AI/ML frameworks and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is essential.
