About the Venture Capital Intern Program
Are you looking for an experience that significantly strengthens your VC resume and develops genuine venture-style research skills? The WSO Venture Capital Internship is a highly selective, off-cycle virtual internship. It's meticulously designed to help top students gain hands-on experience through structured training and venture-focused work. Wall Street Oasis meticulously screens thousands of students globally to identify high-potential talent. Strong interns who pass the screening process will have their profiles shared with an extensive network of partner organizations, including micro-VC funds, emerging managers, venture studios, accelerators/incubators, and angel syndicates.
Only a limited number of interns are selected each quarter per geographic region, guaranteeing a high-impact experience and meaningful mentorship.
What You’ll Gain
Venture Capital Training (Weeks 1–2)
The internship commences with two weeks of intensive structured training, engineered to cultivate core skills essential in venture investing. This includes:
- VC fund structures and economics
- Venture roles and sourcing workflows
- SAFEs, convertible notes, and preferred equity
- Term sheets (control + economics) and cap table modeling basics
- Startup diligence fundamentals (market, product, team, traction)
- Investment memo writing
- Exit dynamics and portfolio math
Top candidates who successfully pass the training assessments will advance to the placement phase.
Venture Experience & Placement (Weeks 3–10)
Following the initial training, interns will engage directly with Wall Street Oasis's partner network (comprising micro-VCs, venture studios, accelerators, and angel syndicates) to provide support in key areas:
- Deal flow and sourcing
- Market mapping and thesis research
- Competitive landscape research
- Startup evaluations and deal memos
- Diligence support and Investment Committee (IC)-prep style briefs
