About the role

Quant Mentor

Wall Street Oasis (WSO) is expanding its Quantitative Finance track and is looking for experienced professionals to mentor students targeting careers in quant research, systematic trading, and quantitative investing.

What You’ll Do

  • 1-on-1 Coaching: Guide students preparing for quantitative research and trading roles (hedge funds, prop firms, systematic funds).
  • Recruiting Insight: Share perspective on navigating quant interviews, brainteasers, case studies, and coding assessments.
  • Mentorship with Purpose: Help high-potential students translate strong math skills into real-world quant careers.
  • Modeling & Strategy Discussions (Optional): Provide high-level feedback on trading strategies, backtesting approaches, and research methodology.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Professionals with experience in Quantitative Research, Systematic Trading, or Quantitative Hedge Funds.
  • Background in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or quantitative finance.
  • Strong technical foundation (probability, statistics, programming).
  • Clear communicators who can simplify complex quantitative concepts.
