Department Overview

WDTech - R&D is the in-house technology team at Walker & Dunlop. This team consists of collaborative, highly skilled professionals leading in real estate data, data science, and technology. WDTech Engineering drives innovation impacting both products and internal processes.

The Impact You Will Have

The SVP Infrastructure will define and execute the infrastructure strategy, lead teams in Infrastructure, Support Services and Site Reliability Engineering, and ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable services for both internal and external products and SaaS applications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Define and execute infrastructure strategy aligning with business goals.
  • Lead Site Reliability, Infrastructure, Operations, and Support Services teams.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Information Security leaders.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing technology organization.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Promote standards and best practices across the Technology organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

Minimum of 15 years of experience in supporting distributed cloud software, IT services, and SaaS offerings; 7+ years leading distributed teams; Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; advanced degree preferred; experience in the real estate domain is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Expertise in AWS, Azure and related cloud technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration.
  • Understanding of modern observability practices including distributed tracing and structured logging.
  • Experience with information security certifications and audits.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity principles.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Methodologies.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute technology strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Agile mindset with capacity to iterate quickly and provide feedback.
  • Strong ownership and commitment to professional growth.

Compensation and Benefits

The position has an estimated base salary of $240,000 - $260,000 plus discretionary bonus. It includes comprehensive benefits such as subsidized medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, transit benefits, health and wellness programs, paid family leave, and career development opportunities.
