Customer Service Associate

About the Role

Walgreens is seeking a temporary Customer Service Associate to provide exceptional customer experiences. This role involves direct customer interaction, sales transactions, and maintaining store appearance.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.

Operations

• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommend items for sale, including trade-up and companion items.
• Register customer purchases, handle cash and credit transactions, and process returns/exchanges.
• Maintain clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves, take inventory, and price merchandise.
• Implement asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss and ensure compliance with regulated product laws.
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Assist with food item separation and product placement according to policies.
• Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional product sales.
• Handle web pick-up responsibilities, fulfilling customer orders.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean store condition.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Attend training and complete required PPLs (Professional Learning Library) modules.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
