Job Summary: Customer Service Associate
As a Customer Service Associate at Walgreens, you will play a crucial role in delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Your responsibilities include processing sales, assisting customers with product and service inquiries, and maintaining an organized store environment.
Customer Experience
Engage with customers and patients by greeting them warmly and proactively offering assistance. You will be responsible for resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure every customer has a positive experience. This role involves modeling and sharing best practices for customer service, focusing on interpersonal habits like greeting, eye contact, and courtesy, as well as embodying Walgreens' service traits such as proactive help, identifying needs, and ensuring complete satisfaction.
Operations
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service while registering customer purchases on assigned cash registers. This includes handling cash, distributing change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. You will also recommend items, including trade-ups and companion products, to enhance the customer's shopping experience. Operational duties extend to maintaining clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves, taking inventory, and managing records. You'll check in and price merchandise, implement asset protection procedures to minimize loss, and ensure compliance with laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco). The role also involves constructing and maintaining various displays, completing resets, assisting with food item separation and product placement according to policy (e.g., raw from pre-cooked, first-in-first-out stock rotation), and ensuring the store's clean and orderly appearance. Additionally, you will provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, alongside suggestive selling promotional photo products. You will also assume web pick-up responsibilities, monitoring orders, filling them, and delivering them to customers.
Training & Personal Development
Actively participate in required training sessions and complete all PPLs (Personalized Performance Learning) as requested by management or assigned by corporate to foster continuous growth and skill enhancement.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
