Job Summary

As a Customer Service Associate at Walgreens, you will play a crucial role in delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. This temporary position involves registering sales, providing efficient checkout service, and actively engaging customers to resolve issues and offer assistance.

Customer Experience Responsibilities

• Engage customers by greeting them and proactively offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions effectively to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices, focusing on interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.

Operations Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service at all times.
• Recommend items, suggest trade-ups, and companion products to customers.
• Operate assigned cash register for purchases, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Maintain clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves; assist with inventory and record-keeping.
• Check in and price merchandise, and complete resets and revisions of displays as directed.
• Implement asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise displays.
• Assist with food item separation, product placement (first in, first out method), and restocking.
• Utilize store systems and equipment proficiently.
• Provide comprehensive customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos and promotional product sales.
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities, monitoring, filling, and delivering online orders.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly store interior and exterior.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, fostering respectful coworker relationships.
• Complete special assignments and other assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

You will attend necessary training sessions and complete PPLs (Personalized Performance Learning) as requested by management or assigned by corporate to enhance your skills and performance.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours, is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens is a plus.
