Job Overview - Graduate Assistant Verification Assistant
The Office of Student Affairs is seeking current Walden masters or doctoral students to serve as a 10-hour per week Graduate Assistant Verification Assistant. The role involves representing the University during virtual appointments with students to collect verification documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent the University on-camera during Zoom verification appointments.
- Offer flexible appointment times, including evenings/weekends.
- Conduct scheduled Zoom meetings for document verification and student support.
- Analyze student questions and refer to relevant support resources.
- Attend periodic team meetings led by the Verification Manager.
- Commit approximately 40 hours per month (10 hours per week).
- Adhere to all policies and standards.
Technical, Managerial, and People Skills
Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, excellent customer service, responsiveness, and interpersonal skills. Additional skills include problem-solving, attention to detail, experience with sensitive documentation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom. A private workspace with reliable internet and professional on-camera presentation is required.
Qualifications
Applicants must be currently enrolled Walden masters or doctoral students (criminal justice program preferred) with at least three quarters or two semesters completed, a minimum 3.5 GPA, and no holds on their student account. The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
