Role Overview
VSN is seeking a commercially driven Broadcasting and Media Sales Manager with deep industry connectivity and a strong understanding of broadcast and media technology workflows. This role is critical to accelerating VSN’s commercial expansion within broadcasters, OTT platforms, federations, production companies, and media groups. The ideal candidate combines proven enterprise-level sales performance, established industry relationships, and solid operational understanding of core broadcast systems (MAM, Scheduling/Traffic, Playout). This is a consultative sales role requiring technical literacy and credibility within broadcast operations environments.
Strategic Importance of the Role
VSN operates within the media technology stack serving highly technical and executive stakeholders. Customers expect partners to understand end-to-end content workflows, asset lifecycle management, monetization and distribution pipelines, and both linear and OTT operational requirements. The successful candidate must possess sufficient technical fluency to engage confidently with CTOs, Heads of Operations, Broadcast Engineers, and Digital Directors, identify integration opportunities, and position VSN solutions within complex media ecosystems.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere in Spain, working in a remote work model with a requirement to travel to our office in Barcelona on a regular basis!
Required Industry Knowledge
- Media Asset Management (MAM): Ingest workflows, Metadata structures, Archive and storage architecture, Proxy workflows, Search, retrieval, and content lifecycle management, Integration with newsroom, production, OTT and playout environments.
- Scheduling and Traffic Systems: Linear programming workflows, Ad inventory and rights management, As-run logs, Commercial scheduling, Revenue reconciliation, Interoperability with playout systems.
- Playout Systems: Channel playout automation, Master control environments, Redundancy and disaster recovery, OTT vs. traditional broadcast playout distinctions, Cloud vs. on-prem playout architectures.
The objective is not technical implementation but commercial credibility. The candidate must understand what these systems do, why they matter, and how they interact.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within broadcasters, OTT operators, sports federations, and media groups.
- Leverage an existing network of industry contacts to accelerate pipeline generation.
- Conduct consultative sales cycles involving technical and executive stakeholders.
- Translate operational broadcast challenges into commercial opportunities.
- Represent VSN at industry events, trade shows, and executive meetings.
- Collaborate internally with product and technical teams to shape proposals.
- Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Maintain strategic account relationships and drive upsell opportunities.
Profile Requirements
Commercial Background
- 5+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience within media technology, broadcast, or OTT ecosystems.
- Proven track record of closing high-value deals.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Industry Network
- Strong LinkedIn presence and demonstrable network within broadcasters, media groups, sports organizations, production companies, and system integrators.
- Ability to leverage relationships for strategic introductions and pipeline growth.
Technical Literacy
- Working understanding of broadcast infrastructure (MAM, Traffic, Playout).
- Ability to communicate with engineering and operations teams with credibility.
- Familiarity with OTT workflows and digital distribution is highly desirable.
Language Requirements
- Mandatory: English (professional proficiency).
- Plus at least one additional language (Spanish, French, German, Italian, or others considered an asset).
