Voyager Wellness Foundation (VWF) is a newly formed California nonprofit organization at the intersection of technology, ethical AI, gaming, and human well-being. We are a non-clinical organization dedicated to approaching wellness through a systems lens, understanding that people burn out without recovery, just as systems fail without maintenance.

Our mission is to build “digital save points” — lightweight, ethical AI tools and playful web experiences that help engineers, data scientists, and leaders pause, reflect, and reset. We emphasize autonomy, reflection, and recovery, steering clear of therapy or pressure-driven gamification.

What We've Built (Early Demos)

• WalkSheep — a low-pressure walking & reflection game (https://walk-sheep.vercel.app/)
• WellnessPathfinder — a location-based wellness discovery & reset tool (https://wellnesspathfinder-demo.vercel.app/)

These are exploratory prototypes designed to guide mission alignment, ethics, and long-term sustainability through volunteer, advisory, and board input.

We are actively seeking passionate individuals for various volunteer roles to support our mission.

🛡️ Volunteer Treasurer

We are seeking a Volunteer Treasurer to serve as a corporate officer and voting member of the Board of Directors. This is a fiduciary role with a focus on:

• Financial oversight and stewardship
• Budget and cash-flow review
• Establishing nonprofit financial controls
• Supporting transparency and sustainability

Please note: This role emphasizes governance and judgment, not day-to-day operations. There is no bookkeeping or fundraising quotas involved. The Volunteer Treasurer is intended to be covered under the Foundation’s Directors & Officers (D&O) insurance.

🎮 Volunteer Game Designer / Gaming Engineer

We also welcome volunteers experienced in game design (digital, casual, experimental, narrative) and web-based or playful interactive systems, particularly those designing for intrinsic motivation rather than addiction loops. You may help with game mechanics that support reflection and recovery, low-pressure progression systems, and UX patterns that encourage curiosity.

🌿 Wellness-Related Licensed Professionals (Volunteer / Advisory)

Licensed professionals (e.g., psychology, counseling, coaching, healthcare) are invited to advise on language, boundaries, ethics, and safety to support responsible design and clear non-clinical framing.

🧭 Advisory Board Member — Volunteer (Non-Fiduciary)

For those preferring a lighter role, we welcome Volunteer Advisory Board Members to provide strategic or domain-specific guidance in a consultative, non-voting capacity, without fiduciary responsibility.

Time Commitment

The time commitment is flexible and role-dependent, designed with a light, predictable cadence to be sustainable alongside full-time work.
