Job Overview
As a Senior Claims Analyst in the Voya Leave Management (VLM) department, you will guide claimants through an integrated leave process with empathy and clarity. You will manage high complex claims, focusing on Short Term Disability, Family Medical Leave (FMLA) and other paid leaves. Besides, you will mentor claims analysts and specialists while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and determine claim payments accurately and timely.
- Decide on non-complex disability claims.
- Mentor and support claims analyst/specialist teams.
- Lead claim roundtables and document action plans.
- Communicate professionally via phone and email.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in team-based problem-solving initiatives.
- Manage work queues within defined SLAs.
- Support additional projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in FMLA/unpaid leave claims management.
- 2-3 years of experience in Short Term Disability/paid leave claims management.
- Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teamwork capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary range is $53,540 - $66,930 USD, with additional incentive opportunities. Voya offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance, 401(k) with company matching, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and volunteer time.
