Role Overview

As the Deputy Editor, Future Perfect, you will drive daily coverage, manage a freelance program, and oversee three staff writers. You will assist the Future Perfect editor with overall management and run the section with your fellow deputy editor when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and edit three staff writers on diverse topics.
• Edit the biweekly newsletter, Processing Meat.
• Assist in setting editorial priorities for short and long term.
• Commission and edit occasional pieces for the Future Perfect site.

What You Will Bring

• Minimum 5 years' experience in editing or equivalent.
• Strong managerial and communication skills with a passion for mentoring.
• Ability to bring insightful analysis and handle multimedia collaborations.
• Interest in research from economics, psychology, sociology, and sciences.
