Job Summary
The Directing Registered Nurse, eHomecare Nights/Weekends Part-time role manages pediatric, palliative and acute medically complex clients including COPD and CHF cases. The position involves directing Personal Support Workers (PSWs)/Health Care Technicians (HCT) by providing remote assessment, clinical direction and mentorship using an innovative care model and electronic documentation tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote client assessment and management of care services.
- Offer clinical direction and assign tasks to PSWs/HCTs.
- Maintain accurate digital and paper client records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team and external providers.
- Participate in internal projects and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Certification in Palliative Care or equivalent training.
- Experience with pediatric, palliative, and acute care (COPD/CHF).
- Advanced assessment, critical thinking and digital documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a virtual team setting.
- Must possess technical skills and a suitable home office setup.
Working Conditions
This remote role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment with physical activity including lifting, bending, and fine hand movements. Candidates must have high-speed internet access and a personal vehicle with necessary documentation.
