What You Will Do

The apprenticeship will be located at the Volvo Group's French site in Lyon, within the Powertrain Engineering entity. The Base Engine & Driveline department is responsible for the design and development of many vehicle propulsion systems, including internal combustion engines, and conventional and electrified drivetrains.

The apprentice's objective is to contribute to the ambition of digital transformation by increasingly integrating data analysis and artificial intelligence into our development processes. You will be part of a team of engineers (design, simulation, data science, etc.), and your work will consist of creating value through data (simulation, testing, customer vehicles) for the Design Office and the Volvo Group.

Who You Are

You are pursuing a Master's degree or equivalent through an apprenticeship program.

If you are interested in science, modeling, engineering, design, data analysis, and artificial intelligence, you will have the opportunity to apply your school knowledge within our company on concrete cases!

Your curiosity and creative ideas for going even further in this field of digital transformation will be highly appreciated. Proficiency in mechanics, programming (Python, SQL, database access), and speaking English is recommended to be comfortable within an international team.
