The Role
Voltus is hiring a smart, detail-oriented regulatory intern with strong writing, editing, and project management skills. In this role, you will support regulatory and legal advocacy tasks, including adding citations, proofreading, fact-checking, and auditing our project tracking database. You will collaborate with a small team and interact with other departments, gaining insight into the energy industry, regulatory advocacy, administrative law, and energy market regulation. This position is ideal for a law student or recent graduate interested in regulatory work in the clean energy industry.
Key Requirements
- Strong writing, editing, and formatting accuracy
- Experience with formal legal citation styles
- Robust research skills with minimal reliance on AI tools
- Effective project management and multi-tasking abilities
- Familiarity with collaborative work-tracking platforms (e.g., Monday.com)
- Current student or recent graduate in Law or Policy (advanced degree preferred)
Work Environment
This internship is flexible, available full- or part-time, with remote work across multiple time zones and limited co-working space in New York and Boston. The team is supportive, and feedback is frequent and constructive.
