Overview

The Dispatch Operations Associate at Voltus plays a key role in the decarbonization of the electric grid by activating distributed energy resources during critical dispatch events. This remote role requires expertise in grid operations across North America and offers opportunities to work on both tactical responsibilities and strategic projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain readiness to receive dispatches from grid operators and utilities.
• Execute dispatches across various programs effectively.
• Maximize customer participation with a streamlined management process.
• Lead internal communications and capture lessons learned.
• Facilitate daily transitions between teams.
• Leverage data to diagnose and resolve performance issues.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Swiftly diagnose and resolve issues from dispatch events.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on process improvements.
• Support process documentation and customer readiness initiatives.
• Manage reporting tools and perform ad hoc analysis (Google Sheets, Python, SQL).
• Assist with grid operator/utility programs and market testing.

Work Schedule & Benefits

This is a remote, shift-based role requiring availability during U.S. Pacific or Mountain time weekday shifts (9am - 5pm PT) with occasional spot coverage. Base pay is $55,000 - $60,000 annually with bonus opportunities and equity. Voltus also offers unlimited leave, parental leave, and a comprehensive benefits package.
