Role Overview
The Scientist/Senior Scientist, Preclinical Development and Translational Science will report to the Senior Director of Translational Science and Biomarkers. This role requires strong laboratory expertise combined with preclinical biomarker experience, working closely with discovery and translational science teams to design experimental plans, manage external studies, and support clinical development programs.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute experimental plans to answer translational questions.
- Coordinate and oversee studies with contract research organizations.
- Develop and execute new and existing assay strategies for biomarker validation.
- Align activities with development teams to support clinical trials.
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate translational results.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and regulatory documents.
Requirements
- MS in a related field; PhD is a plus.
- 2+ years industry experience in preclinical development and clinical oncology biomarker work.
- 5+ years hands-on laboratory experience including cell-based assays, molecular biology, and histology.
- Preferred in vivo mouse experience and knowledge of ADC biology.
- Proven track record managing external CRO projects from scoping to delivery.
- Understanding of the drug development process and basic regulatory aspects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Location & Work Arrangement
This role is based in New York City, specifically West Harlem, and requires a minimum of 80% in-office presence.
