A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Commissioning Engineer at Voith Hydro, you will play a key role in the successful commissioning of hydropower equipment and systems at customer sites worldwide.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment (e.g. turbines, generators, governors, auxiliaries)
- Perform functional testing, system checks, and performance tests in accordance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and project schedules
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and start-up phases
- Coordinate commissioning activities with customers, contractors, and internal project teams
- Ensure compliance with Voith quality, safety, and environmental standards on site
- Prepare commissioning reports, test protocols, and technical documentation
- Support customer training and handover activities
- Participate in warranty and service assignments when required
What You Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification
- Several years of experience in commissioning or field service of hydropower plants or heavy rotating equipment
- Strong technical understanding of hydro turbine systems and power plant interfaces
- Availability to travel internationally and work on construction sites, including short-notice trips
- Structured, solution-oriented working style with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams
- Good communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
