About You
You are a strategic and detail-driven sourcing expert with deep experience managing complex reagent bills of materials (BOMs) in life sciences or diagnostics. You understand the technical nuances in sourcing specialty reagents, can orchestrate sophisticated RFPs, and know what levers to apply when negotiating with a diverse range of suppliers. You are equally at home building supplier relationships or problem-solving under pressure while tailoring your approach to unique product needs, regulatory requirements, and supply chain challenges.
What You’ll Do
As the Reagents Sourcing Manager, you will:
- Develop and lead the global sourcing strategy for reagents, biotech raw materials, and custom formulations.
- Own the global commodity strategy with supplier segmentation, technology roadmaps, and risk mitigation.
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and execute RFP/RFQ processes.
- Negotiate master supplier agreements, statements of work, and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee supplier qualification, audits, and compliance with QA/RA teams.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams as the technical liaison.
- Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to shape overall supply strategies.
- Drive continuous cost reduction and process optimization initiatives.
- Champion supplier performance management and drive innovation initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, supply chain management, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience sourcing complex reagent BOMs and specialty chemicals.
- Proven expertise in executing RFP/RFQ and contract negotiation processes.
- Strong knowledge of supplier qualification, onboarding, compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Experience managing global reagent supply chains in regulated industries.
- Deep understanding of specialty chemicals and technical sourcing requirements.
