Position Summary

We are looking for a Consultant to join Vista Equity Partners' Value Creation Team in the Product and Technology Practice. This role involves advising portfolio company leaders on transformational success through product, technology, and cybersecurity strategies and operations.

The Consultant will work closely with CTOs, CPOs, CISOs, and other technology leaders to drive growth through modern product and engineering practices. You will support both pre-investment due diligence and post-investment transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with VCT colleagues, investment teams, and portfolio executives to drive P&T initiatives.
  • Conduct due diligence to develop investment theses and identify value creation opportunities.
  • Work on value creation projects spanning engineering, product management, AI, and cybersecurity.
  • Assist in the development of rapid AI product solutions and establish best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Problem Framing & Solving: Structure workshops and review product business cases.
  • Analytics & Modeling: Provide analytical support, data modeling, and present evidence-based conclusions.
  • Deliverable Development: Build client-ready deliverables following consulting standards.
  • Project / Workstream Management: Structure workstreams and ensure accountability for measurable results.

Qualifications

  • Passion for technology, software, and data.
  • Basic proficiency in modern AI tools for analysis and code generation.
  • 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or product/software roles.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience in technology strategy, analysis, and execution.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Preferred Engineering or Computer Science degree from a top institution.

Compensation

The expected base pay range is between $110,000 and $140,000, with additional components such as annual cash bonus and benefits.
