Position Summary: AI-First Orchestration Engineer at Vista Equity Partners
Vista Equity Partners is seeking an AI-First Orchestration Engineer to design, build, and scale intelligent workflows that seamlessly connect people, data, and systems across our organization. This pivotal role operates at the confluence of workflow automation, advanced AI integration, and multi-system orchestration, directly translating business strategies into high-impact, automated processes.
The ideal candidate is passionate about transforming complex, manual operations into efficient, AI-driven systems. You will utilize cutting-edge orchestration tools such as n8n, Power Automate, and LangChain to integrate critical systems like CRMs, diverse data sources, and various communication channels. This enables our teams to achieve greater speed, intelligence, and insight in their daily operations.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Build AI-First Workflows: Automate intricate multi-step processes spanning CRM, email, messaging platforms, and various data systems.
- Orchestrate LLM-powered Agents: Implement and manage agents for tasks such as research, summarization, outreach, and follow-ups.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Develop pipelines to ensure the right data is surfaced precisely when needed.
- Integrate Data & Systems: Connect APIs, webhooks, and automation tools to forge a unified “system of insight.”
- Maintain Two-way Integrations: Manage seamless data flow between CRM and external data providers.
- Ensure Data Quality: Guarantee data is enriched, clean, and continuously updated from trusted sources.
- Enable Persistent Intelligence: Build AI memory to retain past interactions, key contacts, and organizational knowledge.
- Configure Timely Triggers: Set up triggers that prompt relevant engagement based on real-time data signals.
- Tune AI Prompts & Workflows: Optimize AI outputs for accuracy, adherence to brand tone, and business objectives.
- Rapidly Prototype & Deploy: Collaborate with business leaders to identify high-friction workflows and quickly deliver Minimum Viable Product (MVP) automations.
- Scale Successful Pilots: Test impact and transition successful pilot automations into production systems, continuously refining orchestration logic to enhance accuracy, speed, and user adoption.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
Core Technical Skills
- Proficiency with n8n and/or Power Automate for comprehensive workflow orchestration.
- Familiarity with LangChain and robust LLM API integration (e.g., OpenAI, Claude).
- Basic to intermediate Python and SQL skills for efficient data handling and transformation.
- Extensive experience with API integration (REST, GraphQL) and various authentication methods (OAuth, API keys).
- Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate) crucial for RAG workflows.
- Demonstrated CRM integration experience, with a preference for Salesforce.
Experience
- 2–5 years of professional experience in workflow automation, growth operations, sales operations, data engineering, or technical product roles.
- A proven track record of successfully designing and deploying automations that significantly enhance business efficiency.
- Bonus: Experience in multi-channel orchestration across platforms like email, Slack, LinkedIn, and SMS.
