Summary

As an Order Management Specialist at Visionworks, you will provide front line support to field operators through both written and verbal communications and detailed analysis of customer requests and issues. You will track and complete updates and modifications to customer orders submitted to our central manufacturing facilities, while performing various receiving, shipping, and inventory functions to ensure optimal delivery performance.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls, emails, or chats from retail associates professionally.
  • Research orders using several supply chain systems and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical and product support to retail associates.
  • Complete daily reports, paperwork, and data entry accurately.
  • Capture and document associate requests and information precisely.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred. One to three years in a related customer service or order management environment. Optical industry or ophthalmic lens processing experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and database applications. Familiarity with basic problem solving tools and process standardization; Green Belt or lean training is a plus.

Language and Mathematical Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to comprehend complex instructions. Capable of performing analytical mathematics required by both ophthalmic and business functions.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently while working variable schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
