Job Overview

Vishay Precision Group (VPG) is a global leader in precision measurement and sensing technologies. We design and manufacture high-performance products for industrial, medical, aerospace, and automotive sectors. We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer – Assembly Process Quality & Soldering Process to join our Quality team on a full-time basis.

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with IPC 610 - CIS / CIT and J standards for soldering and assembly.
  • Educate staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Drive yield improvement projects, Kaizen initiatives, and continuous improvement aligned with IATF & ISO.
  • Lead quality initiatives, investigations, and resolution of production issues.
  • Conduct regular process and product audits to maintain high standards.
  • Promote 5S principles for a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Coordinate IPC certification renewals.
  • Improve soldering and visual inspection yields.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams to reduce internal rejections.
  • Prepare periodic reports to track quality performance.

Essential Competencies

  • IPC 610 - CIS / CIT and J std certification
  • Expertise in soldering and manual/hand soldering processes
  • People handling and failure analysis (8D)
  • Process audit knowledge and EMS product expertise
  • ISO 9001:2015 & IATF knowledge

Desired Competencies & Technical Skills

  • DOE experience and IATF 16949 Certified Internal Auditor
  • PCBA & Components knowledge
  • Technical tools: PFMEA, SPC, MSA, 7QC Tools, Control Plan, PPAP

Requirements

B.E/B. Tech in EEE/ECE with 8+ years of experience in In-process and Customer Quality from the EMS industry. Experience in handling EMS Assembly QA and customer complaints analysis is required. Candidates must be experts in SMT process and soldering. Note: Female candidates only.
