Job Description

The Global Business Optimization team has a simple mission: we turn massive amounts of data into actionable insights that drive business value. Our analytic consultants and data analysts work with Visa’s clients, partners, and staff to improve portfolio performance, program profitability, and cardholder experiences. By coupling in-depth analysis of cardholder behavior with Visa’s world-class products, digital offerings, and marketing capabilities, we ensure our clients’ programs operate at their peak potential and that cardholders have seamless commerce experiences in both the physical and digital world. As part of the Client Services organization, this role will take ownership of this vision and deliver with excellence for our organization and our clients. The successful candidate will use strong big data and analytical skills, contextual business sense, and a creative flair to solve real-world business challenges for Visa issuing banks, acquirers, merchants, and processors. In addition, your analytic expertise will directly impact the strategic direction of the organization and how we deliver value from our data assets.

The successful candidate will be a key member in Global Business Optimization, within Client Services, supporting all aspects of improving and optimizing payment success, including but not exclusive to authentication and authorization. Responsible for building and deploying a single source of truth on insights, facts, and reporting related to the Visa Europe Regions payment processing.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 2+ years of working experience in a corporate environment.
  • Visa experience or knowledge of the payments industry is highly preferable.
  • Knowledge of the Authorization/ Authentication process is highly preferable.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proven client presentation skills.
  • Proactive, curious, problem solver with experience of being a self-starter and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience working in data analysis and/or insight delivery with a proven record of creating business value from data.
  • Basic level of manipulating data from a variety of sources - Big data skills (Hadoop, Hive, Spark) and/or SQL skills is an advantage.
  • Experience visualizing data with tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Must be proficient in all MS Office applications with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written command of English.
  • Knowledge of additional European language(s) is an advantage.
