Role Overview: Director, Data Engineering
As Director, Data Engineering, you will be a key leader in architecting, enhancing, and building next-generation commercial solutions in an agile environment. You will drive strategic and tactical planning, lead full stack engineering teams, and ensure delivery and engineering excellence across multiple geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution and delivery of product and technology roadmaps.
- Architect and build enterprise-grade solutions using Java, Spring, Microservices, REST APIs, Angular, and Spark/Scala on Hadoop.
- Drive technical architecture alongside product owners and managers.
- Manage and mentor high-performing engineering teams.
- Collaborate globally with cross-functional teams in operations, security, and infrastructure.
- Leverage modern agentic and generative AI tools to improve efficiency.
- Recruit top engineering talent and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience with an Advanced degree or PhD). Preferred candidates have extensive expertise in Data Engineering, full stack development, and a strong record in developing enterprise/SaaS distributed applications. Experience with Kafka, distributed databases, and high-frequency transaction environments is a plus.
