Job Description

As part of the Cyber Threat Analytics and Research team (CTAR) at Visa, the Associate Data Scientist will leverage cutting-edge technologies to perform statistical profiling, inference, classification, clustering, and predictive analysis. You will create and implement machine learning models to derive new insights and defend against cyber-attacks.

Essential Functions

• Analyze cyber event logs using Spark and big data technologies.
• Formulate cyber threat scenarios into technical data problems.
• Devise and implement deep learning models to build user behavior profiles.
• Conduct feature engineering to build and enrich feature stores.
• Fine tune open source LLM for anomaly detection.
• Leverage Generative AI to improve cyber investigation efficiency.
• Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to deliver security analytics.
• Assist in shaping the direction and lifecycle management for security technology.
• Communicate data insights effectively to various stakeholders.

Qualifications

Basic: Minimum of 6 months work experience or a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred: 2+ years work experience; Master’s degree holders with less than 1 year relevant experience; strong background in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and AI; proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
