Job Description
Virtustant is seeking a Pre-Services & Appeals Assistant to work closely with a senior specialist handling medical pre-service and post-service appeals. This remote, part-time role requires strong computer skills, document processing, and a proactive mindset. The candidate will need to stay connected via Google Meet during work hours and handle phone calls with clients and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pre-service authorizations for medical claims.
- Handle pre-service and post-service appeals ensuring accuracy.
- Merge, edit and organize narrative reports for claims processing.
- Ensure submission of all required documentation daily.
- Maintain accuracy and detail in medical forms.
- Manage phone calls with clients and suppliers during shifts.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Strong computer skills particularly in document merging, formatting, and editing. Highly organized with an attention to detail in handling medical records.
Preferred Skills
Proactive mindset, effective remote collaboration, and familiarity with medical terminology and claims processing.
Personality & Tools
Proactive and collaborative mindset. Must be comfortable using Google Meet.
Schedule & Compensation
This is a part-time role (20 hours per week) with flexible hours between 9-5 EST. Payment can be made in USD or local currency.
