About the Role
We are seeking dynamic and dedicated Nurse Practitioners to join our core clinical team. As a Continuity Clinician, you will provide a real solution to patients managing diabetes, pre-diabetes, and weight management, significantly improving their health and reducing medication reliance. Our proprietary clinical systems are designed by clinicians, ensuring patient care remains paramount with streamlined documentation and efficient workflows.
While our continuous remote care model offers flexibility, you will be responsible for providing safe and timely care during standard office hours. Virta Health provides occurrence malpractice insurance for all clinicians.
Must-Haves
- Unrestricted medical license. Multiple state licenses are beneficial; willingness and ability to obtain additional licenses is required.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Endocrinology preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience and demonstrated competence in diabetes management.
- Outstanding bedside manner and patient service orientation.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Deep interest in the science behind Virta's approach and commitment to our nutritional strategy for diabetes reversal.
- Telemedicine experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the highest quality, patient-centered care.
- Manage your assigned patient panel through continuous remote care, collaborating with expert health coaches and supported by our clinical team, including endocrinologists.
- Proactively ensure adequate follow-up for patients and address their concerns.
- Participate in after-hours coverage rotation with the team, covering approximately 1 in 8 weeks. All care is delivered remotely.
- Actively contribute to the development of new technologies and protocols to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Demonstrate proactive use of AI tools to improve individual output and efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

Location
As a remote-first company, our team is distributed. We have office hubs in Denver and San Francisco. Clinical roles are not available in AK, HI, and RI. Corporate roles have additional state restrictions.
