About Virta Health
Virta Health is dedicated to reversing metabolic disease in one billion people. Current treatments are often ineffective, with high rates of type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and obesity. Virta is disrupting this by offering a solution rooted in technology, personalized nutrition, and a re-imagined virtual care delivery model. Having secured over $350 million from leading investors, Virta partners with major health plans, employers, and government entities to help individuals regain their health.
The Opportunity: Continuity Clinician - Nurse Practitioner

While our continuous remote care model offers flexibility, you are responsible for delivering safe and timely care during designated office hours. Occurrence malpractice insurance is provided.

- Provide the highest quality patient-centered care.
- Manage your dedicated panel of patients through continuous remote care, collaborating with expert health coaches and receiving support from the endocrinology team and other clinicians.
- Proactively ensure adequate follow-up for patients and address their concerns.
- Participate in after-hours coverage rotations with the team (approximately 1 in 8 weeks), delivered remotely without "in-house" calls.
- Actively contribute to the development of new technology and protocols to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Must-Haves
- Unrestricted medical license. Willingness and ability to obtain additional state licenses are required.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Endocrinology are preferred).
- 2+ years of experience and demonstrated competence in diabetes management.
- Outstanding bedside manner and a strong patient service orientation.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Deep interest in Virta's scientific approach and commitment to its nutritional methodology for diabetes reversal.
- Telemedicine experience preferred.
Values-Driven Culture
Virta's culture is shaped by its values. You will thrive here if you:
- Put people first, prioritizing the well-being of yourself, peers, and patients.
- Exhibit strong ownership, taking initiative while empowering others.
- Prioritize positive impact over busy work.
- Maintain a humble approach, recognizing everyone's valuable contributions.
- Value transparency, fostering trust through open information access.
- Are evidence-based, favoring data and science over seniority or dogma.
- Embrace calculated risks and rapid iteration.
Compensation and Location
