Purpose of the Laundry Linen Keeper Tailor Role
This role is responsible for processing guests’ personal laundry, laundering ship-owned linen, and crew uniforms. It includes managing laundry inventory and performing tailoring repairs on guest clothing, linens and uniforms while upholding a guest-oriented service culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, wash, dry, press and fold guest laundry and crew uniforms.
- Manage inventory of ship linens and uniforms including reporting damages and recommending orders.
- Perform tailoring repairs and adjustments on various fabric items.
- Operate laundry equipment and consistently adhere to Viking’s SOPs and STAR Service Standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety and proper use of PPE.
Your Profile
Applicants should have a minimum of 2+ years experience in a laundry or similar role, preferably within a hotel or cruise ship environment. Excellent English communication skills, a guest-focused and service-oriented attitude, and familiarity with operating laundry equipment are required.
Mandatory Requirements & At Will Employment
