Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding functional and non-functional requirements of the application with guidance from senior team members.
  • Assisting in documenting validated requirements and clarifications from SMEs.
  • Supporting interactions with internal stakeholders to understand testing scope and acceptance criteria.
  • Contributing to defining and refining acceptance criteria alongside the product team.
  • Assisting in preparing basic test plans and test cases.
  • Executing manual test cases and documenting results accurately.
  • Supporting automation script development under supervision using Java-based tools.
  • Learning and applying test automation best practices and coding guidelines.
  • Preparing simple test reports summarizing testing outcomes.
  • Identifying, logging, and tracking defects in defect management tools.
  • Participating in team discussions, retrospectives, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with developers to retest fixes and validate resolutions.
  • Assisting in application demos for internal stakeholders when required.

Ideal Profile

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have a strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and QA concepts.
  • You have basic knowledge of Java or any programming language.
  • You are familiar with Selenium, API testing, or automation tools through coursework, internships, or self-learning.
  • You understand Agile concepts such as Scrum.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You are detail-oriented and naturally curious about how systems work.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are eager to learn automation frameworks, CI/CD tools, and modern QA practices.
  • You are committed to delivering high-quality, reliable software.
