About the Role
Skippack Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for animal handling and care, client communication, and assisting in various veterinary procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Client Communication: Provide updates and guidance on patient care.
- Client Education & Support: Educate clients on wellness, vaccines, and procedures.
- Customer Service: Greet and assist clients and their pets.
- Animal Handling & Care: Assist in medical, surgical, and dental procedures including anesthesia and recovery monitoring.
- Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Prepare and maintain surgery and treatment areas.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records using a paperless system.
- Pharmacy Assistance: Dispense medications and prepare prescription labels.
- Safety & Technical Skills: Follow safety guidelines and perform injections, laboratory tests, radiographs, and emergency treatments.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, strong animal handling skills, familiarity with safety guidelines (DEA, OSHA), and ability to alert veterinarians on patient condition changes.
