Contract Manager

Vestas is seeking a Contract Manager to join the Customer Project Execution (CPX) department in the MED region, based in Madrid. This role focuses on the operational and execution aspects of wind farm construction, ensuring contract compliance with subcontractors and supporting customer contracts during peak times. It is an execution-driven position, not a legal or strategic negotiation role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in daily contract execution to ensure construction milestones are met.
  • Manage operational relationships with subcontractors for crane services, wind turbine assembly, and electrical/mechanical installations.
  • Conduct technical and contractual analysis of contract annexes to resolve execution incidents promptly.
  • Draft and manage contractual notices, subcontractor response letters, and other formal communications to protect company interests.
  • Supervise subcontractors' adherence to contractual obligations on-site to prevent cost overruns or schedule delays.
  • Prepare documentation for claims management related to extra costs or extensions of time (EoT).
  • Monitor compliance documentation and internal approvals to ensure execution aligns with company standards.
  • Report on project outcomes to identify opportunities for future contract optimization.
