Primary Purpose
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager at Veseris to support the Controller in managing daily accounting operations and the financial close process. This working-level manager role involves coordinating work allocation, guiding the accounting team, and direct involvement in executing accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Team Coordination and Guidance:
- Provide day-to-day direction to a team of four Lead Accountants.
- Review work for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee daily accounting operations including task management and ledger activities.
- Promote a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Financial Close:
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Coordinate status meetings and ensure documentation is complete.
- Perform GAAP research on complex accounting areas as needed.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct flux analysis to support month-end reviews and provide insights.
- Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Support the transition to automated financial reporting using deFacto.
Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audits.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
- Advocate best practices and automation in accounting operations.
Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification, minimum 2 years at a top 10 public accounting firm, minimum 6 years in general ledger accounting with a supervisory role, strong knowledge of US GAAP, multi-entity consolidation experience, and advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, deFacto, FloQast, inventory accounting, lease accounting, and indirect taxes for distribution companies.

Other Considerations
This is an onsite position based in Austin, Texas with a hybrid work arrangement as demands allow. The role offers competitive compensation in the Austin market.
