Job Summary
Vertex is seeking a senior-level technical writer to deliver high‑quality user and technical documentation for system integrators and users of Vertex Value Added Tax (VAT) and e‑Invoicing solutions. This role is part of the Product Content Experience (PCX) team and involves collaboration across global, cross-functional groups, including mentoring junior writers.
Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain clear, accurate content for complex products.
- Create documentation for tax professionals, integrators, programmers, and system admins.
- Mentor junior writers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Utilize AI tools and structured authoring for content creation.
- Employ content design, Information Architecture principles, and AEO optimization.
- Maintain and update existing deliverables including online help and guides.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Experience with API content development and related tools like Swagger and Postman.
- Familiarity with web technologies: CSS, HTML, XML, Java, Markdown, and OAS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SnagIt, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of scripting languages and VAT/e‑Invoicing concepts.
- Experience with ERP systems and AI‑driven automation workflows.
Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication or a related field with 5–8 years of relevant technical experience.
