As a Project Manager, you will facilitate and support organizational readiness for large-scale, cross-functional strategic and operational initiatives. Given Versapay's rapid growth, aligning and executing these crucial programs is paramount.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a business-minded strategist with a proven track record in building and delivering key programs. You will provide outside-in thinking, define milestones and timelines, drive cross-functional alignment, track execution, and resolve roadblocks.

Success in this position requires experience managing cross-functional technical programs and delivering products to market. Prior experience in strategy consulting or operations at a SaaS and/or Payments company is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Support and help manage cross-functional programs: Define program goals, frame workstreams, establish roles and responsibilities, and facilitate program routines for efficient delivery.
  • Drive progress and resolve roadblocks: Independently monitor and report on progress, identify and escalate issues, and proactively and creatively address them cross-functionally.
  • Ensure goals are met: Manage timelines, track progress, analyze results, and ensure objectives are achieved. Provide execution assistance to ensure smooth program progression.
  • Build and improve processes: Remove operational roadblocks, simplify existing processes, and propose and build new ones to achieve objectives.
  • Lead with data: Partner with analytics and other teams to identify key insights, quantify opportunities/results, and ensure prioritization and capture.
  • Develop technical delivery plans: Outline milestones and checklists for various stages of the product delivery lifecycle.
  • Act as a key partner: Collaborate with product, design, analytics, and engineering teams to develop project plans with technical activities.
  • Develop audience-aware messaging: Create outcome-driven communications for key routines, leadership updates, and customer-facing interactions.
  • Facilitate migrations and go-lives: Work with internal and external teams on migration/launch strategy, beta customer identification, communication development, and go-to-market activity tracking.
  • Support other strategic priorities: Assist Product leadership with strategic and operational initiatives as needed.

What You'll Bring To The Team

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Experience: 2-5 years, including a proven track record of managing cross-functional and technical programs, and launching new products. This includes partnering with product, engineering, and other functions to define product roadmaps and milestones, managing beta programs, and establishing/tracking performance and product KPIs. Experience working with clients and/or third parties outside of internal stakeholders is essential. Related industry experience in Payments and/or SaaS is a strong asset. Experience in large-scale migration is critical.

Drive and follow-through: Excellent organizational skills, strong work ethic, and passion for delivering on commitments. Experience in leadership roles and eagerness to expand this skillset. Knows what needs to be done and how to collaborate to achieve it.

Agility: Comfortable with ambiguous and complex problems, with a flexible and open-minded approach to new challenges. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Data fluency: Affinity for working with data and insights, synthesizing information, optimizing, and making recommendations to diverse audiences. Data-driven in problem-solving and ideation.

Communication: Clear articulation of ideas to various audiences, including at the executive level. Ability to write, speak, and present in a compelling manner.
