About The Role
As an AI & HPC hardware performance researcher, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of computer architecture. You'll engage in cutting-edge research to innovate across the computing stack, from application to semiconductor technology, and collaborate with experts to implement software-hardware codesign solutions. Your work will drive the performance and efficiency of large-scale, heterogeneous computer architectures, empowering the next wave of AI applications.
Key responsibilities
- Research solutions for large-scale high-performance computing clusters, focusing on workload characterization, resource management, system architecture, and microarchitecture.
- Develop detailed performance models to identify and address bottlenecks, enhancing efficiency and reducing cost.
- Analyze current systems to validate models and guide future design improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform the codesign of hardware and software, improving performance and reducing emissions.
What we're looking for
We're seeking a skilled professional with a passion for HPC and AI, equipped with substantial analytical and modeling expertise.
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant STEM field, with early career experience preferred.
- Experience in performance analysis of HPC applications like molecular dynamics or computational fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency in performance modeling for various computer hardware.
- Understanding of heterogeneous system architectures and machine learning techniques.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python; CUDA knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent English communication skills, enabling effective collaboration in a multicultural team.
