About the role
Director, Data & Content Partnerships
Veritone is seeking a visionary executive to help build and scale the global supply side of our AI and data ecosystem. This role is responsible for acquiring, structuring, and retaining premium, rights-cleared supply across over two dozen industry verticals.
You will ensure Veritone maintains durable sell-side liquidity to power our AI products, data monetization and next-generation model training workflows. This leader operates at the critical intersection of data acquisition, content licensing, and marketplace strategy, building the long-term "supply moats" that differentiate Veritone’s AI platform from commodity competitors.
What You'll Do
- Supply & Data Acquisition (Primary Accountability): Own the global strategy for acquiring premium multimodal content (video, audio, text, and metadata) suitable for AI training, inference, and commercial monetization.
- Secure exclusive or preferred supply agreements.
- Design scalable acquisition frameworks that move beyond one-off deals into programmatic onboarding of massive datasets.
- Ensure all supply is "AI-Ready"—fully rights-cleared, governed, and compliant with global privacy and licensing constraints.
- Marketplace & Liquidity Strategy: Act as a participant of sell-side liquidity across Veritone’s data and AI marketplaces.
- Define and optimize incentive models.
- Balance supply depth and quality against downstream demand from customers.
- Track and optimize liquidity KPIs: active suppliers, inventory depth, utilization, and yield.
- Strategic Partnerships & Anchor Supply: Lead negotiations for anchor supply partnerships that materially expand Veritone’s data footprint and strategic relevance.
- Structure partnerships that function as long-term strategic assets, not merely transactional deals.
- Product, AI & Governance Alignment: Work cross-functionally with Product, AI, and Engineering to ensure acquired supply is modular, metadata-rich, and aligned with emerging model architectures.
- Rights Transparency: Establish frameworks for auditability and usage enforcement across training, fine-tuning, and inference.
- Partner with Legal to minimize IP risk while maximizing monetization flexibility for our customers.
