Job Description

About Vercel

Vercel empowers developers with the tools and cloud infrastructure necessary to build, scale, and secure a faster, more personalized web. As the driving force behind v0, Next.js, and AI SDK, Vercel supports leading companies like Ramp, Supreme, PayPal, and Under Armour in developing for the AI-native web.

Our core mission is to enable the world to ship the best products, which begins by fostering an environment where everyone can perform at their peak. Whether you are building on our platform, assisting our customers, or crafting our narrative: You can just ship things.

About The Role

We are seeking a Product Manager to spearhead a new enterprise product designed to enable companies to build, deploy, govern, and orchestrate AI agents at scale. This initiative represents one of Vercel's most significant investments in a rapidly evolving and dynamic sector. The market currently lacks a definitive platform in this space, making the timing opportune for innovation.

This is a true 0-to-1 role, where you will guide the product from its initial design partners through General Availability (GA), ultimately defining how Fortune 500 companies will construct their AI agents using Vercel. Within 12 months, you are expected to transform this concept into a revenue-generating product with paying Enterprise customers.

The Product Manager - Agent Platform unifies Vercel's existing AI primitives—including AI SDK, AI Gateway, Sandbox, Workflows, and v0—into a cohesive platform, enhanced with robust orchestration, observability, and enterprise-grade governance capabilities. The overarching goal is to equip every function within a company (e.g., Sales, HR, Engineering, Data, Finance) with a secure, unified platform to build, deploy, and govern their agents.

This is a highly horizontal position that interacts with nearly every team across Vercel. You will collaborate directly with Engineering, Design, Sales, and executive leadership to deliver a product that has the potential to define a new category in the industry.

What You Will Do

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, from the first design partner engagement through GA and subsequent iterations.
  • Define the methodologies for enterprises to create, test, deploy, and manage AI agents on Vercel's infrastructure.
  • Design the crucial governance and security layer, providing CIOs with comprehensive visibility and control over agent proliferation.
  • Formulate packaging, pricing, and the commercial model, and validate these with key enterprise buyers.
  • Collaborate with the v0 and AI teams at Vercel to democratize agent creation, making it accessible even to non-technical users.
  • Establish the integration and connector strategy for seamless interaction within enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
  • Drive the design partner program: identify suitable candidates, facilitate their onboarding, meticulously synthesize feedback, and iterate rapidly based on insights.
  • Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering to develop and refine the enterprise sales motion.

About You

  • You have a proven track record of 0-to-1 product launches within the enterprise or infrastructure sectors, understanding the journey from inception to paying customers.
  • You possess a strong bias toward speed and shipping, preferring rapid iteration with design partners over extended periods of perfecting specifications.
  • You have an engineering background (e.g., ex-engineer, technical founder, or CS degree), enabling you to critically review architecture documents and engage effectively in technical design discussions with senior engineers.
  • You deeply understand developers, knowing precisely what cultivates trust and what erodes it, having built products that developers willingly adopt.
  • You maintain a high-level mental model for AI agents, encompassing tool use, orchestration, multi-step reasoning, and model routing, and ideally, you are already building with these tools in your own workflows.
  • You have experience selling to or working closely with enterprise buyers (e.g., CIO, VP Eng, Head of Platform), comprehending procurement cycles, security reviews, and the factors influencing a CIO's decision.
  • You are an exceptional cross-functional operator, adept at aligning teams that do not directly report to you across multiple product teams, Sales, and Design.

Bonus Qualifications

  • You've been a founder or an early employee at a startup, particularly one focused on selling to enterprises.
  • You have experience with platform products, where you established patterns for other teams to build upon.
  • You've worked on products involving identity, security, or compliance within enterprise contexts.
