About the Role
The Developer Advocacy Director role is a leadership position within the Developer Experience team. You will head a team of Developer Experience Engineers who tackle developer challenges, validate issues in the field, and implement scalable solutions.
This role redefines traditional developer evangelism by being product- and outcome-oriented. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to enhance how developers interact with Vercel, especially in an era of agent-driven development.
Key Responsibilities
- Set strategy and direction for Vercel Labs.
- Guide teams in building and iterating real projects.
- Operationalize agent-first developer advocacy with modern tools.
- Establish feedback loops with Product and Engineering.
- Measure and optimize developer relations impact.
About You
You have a proven track record in leading DevRel or similar technical programs, with deep knowledge in modern web development and platform architecture. You can act as an internal entrepreneur, taking ambiguous problems from discovery to solution, with hands-on experience in agent-driven development.

Compensation Details
The San Francisco, CA base pay range is $200,000-$300,000 and will be adjusted based on location and experience. The total package may include benefits, equity, and bonus plans.
