About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Support Engineering, the Customer Support Engineer is responsible for resolving customer concerns, creating and improving internal tooling, and engineering solutions to help Vercel customers optimize their experience with the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve interesting cases for Vercel customers
  • Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with the engineering team
  • Develop and improve internal tools and documentation
  • Specialize in product areas and support Enterprise requests
  • Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations

About You

You are an excellent communicator with frontend development experience, particularly with Next.js and React. You understand modern web architecture, cloud and serverless computing, and DNS. You enjoy engineering solutions to resolve recurring problems and mentoring team members.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with CDNs and caching techniques
  • Familiarity with monorepos and complex CI/CD pipelines

Additional Information

The role offers in-office anchor days if you reside within commuting distance of SF, NY, London, or Berlin, otherwise it is fully remote. Candidates should reside in Central or Eastern time zones. The San Francisco, CA pay range is $100,000.00 - $140,000.00, adjusted based on location.
