About the Role
The v0 team is fast-moving and focused on building the future of UI development with AI. Working on v0.dev, a generative design tool that turns natural language into functional React components using Tailwind CSS, the team leverages large language models and innovative research in human-AI collaboration.
What You Will Do as an AI Engineer
- Design and develop prototypes exploring new LLM-driven interaction paradigms.
- Research and implement state-of-the-art models and prompting strategies.
- Collaborate with teams to build and fine-tune internal tools and evaluation pipelines.
- Run A/B tests and experiments to validate ideas and enhance generation quality.
- Bridge research and production by integrating cutting-edge techniques into stable systems.
About You
A creative and practical thinker who thrives in ambiguity and loves building with AI. You have an eye for design and developer ergonomics and are experienced in:
- 5+ years in research engineering or applied machine learning.
- Strong programming in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Working with or fine-tuning large language models (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.).
- Modern frontend technologies like React and Tailwind CSS.

Work Arrangement
If you are within commuting distance of SF, NY, London, or Berlin, you will have in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Otherwise, the role is fully remote. Please connect with our recruiting team for location details.
