What You Will Contribute as a Medical Informatics Intern
- Assist the Medical Informatics and Data Science team on projects related to improving the quality of data in ambulatory health.
- Assist in mining new data to support Life Sciences Solutions.
- Improve large research datasets.
- Use medical code to guide research.
- Work alongside Medical Informaticists on tasks involving and revolving code set management and value set creations.
- Perform additional duties and provide additional support as directed by manager.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or higher degree program in Health or Medical Informatics, Nursing, or related discipline.
- A 3.0+ GPA (preferred).
- Familiarity with medical code sets such as but not limited to SNOMED, ICD, NDC, and RxNorm.
- A clinical background (preferred).
